Vartan Djihanian
Vartan Djihanian is a seasoned government affairs and public policy professional with over 30 years of experience at the federal, state, and local levels. His career spans public service, strategic communications, regulatory advocacy, and high-stakes electoral politics.
Djihanian is currently the Director of Global Government Affairs at Lam Research Corporation, a leading supplier of wafer fabrication equipment and services to the semiconductor industry. He leverages his strategic communications, government relations, and regulatory affairs expertise to advocate for Lam’s interests before policymakers, stakeholders, and relevant organizations and associations.
In addition to his role at Lam, Djihanian serves as Vice Chair of the Los Angeles County Small Business Commission and as a Civil Service Commissioner for the City of Glendale, California.
Previously, Djihanian was the Director of the Western Region in the Congressional and Public Affairs Division at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he helped develop pro-business legislative and political strategies across five western states: Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah. He also worked to strengthen the Chamber’s relationships with Members of Congress and with state and local chambers of commerce throughout the region.
Before joining the Chamber, Djihanian served as an adviser and communications director for several members of Congress, including U.S. Reps. Buck McKeon (R-CA) and John Campbell (R-CA). He also held senior roles in high-profile political campaigns, including Tommy Thompson for U.S. Senate (R-WI), Joe DioGuardi for U.S. Senate (R-NY), and Jim Rogan for Congress (R-CA). He also served as a congressional page on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Djihanian holds a B.A. from UCLA and an M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Lauren, and their three young boys.
